  5. Design Intervention • Inspiration from 90% • Zabalean Waste Recycling • Take problem of garbage and turned it into solution for other problems • Job creation • Recycling • Community aid • Using areas

  6. Recycling Research • Recycling with a purpose • Reimagine and Fluid Life Project • Over 8,700 people work in the recycling industry in North Carolina • Links Economy and Environment • More recycling done the cheaper for the region

Recycling Center • Implement new recycling program and accompanying building for operation • Recycling efforts funneled through the center • Scatter recycling bins throughout the West End • Street corners, businesses, etc. • Recycling picked up once a week • Fountain with wishing well • All proceeds are donated to the homeless • Bring jobs into area; combat homelessness • Architectural constraints that will make it blend with West End personality and appearance
