  1. How to stay hydrated in summer Introduction Summer is here, and with it comes a whole lot of fun. But if you're like me, you probably don't have time to enjoy all the activities that come with the season—you have work to do! So what can you do? The easiest way to stay hydrated (and refreshed) in this heat is by drinking lots of water. Sounds boring, but it's going to keep you feeling your best and avoid any headaches or dizziness. Eat more fruits and veggies You don’t always have to drink water to stay hydrated. Fruits and certain vegetables contain a lot of water and will keep you hydrated while you’re in the sun eat more fruits and vegetables. Fruits like Watermelon, lettuce, and grapes are excellent sources of water, while vegetables like cucumbers and celery can help you stay hydrated when they're added to your meals. Sip on fruit smoothies Fruit smoothies are a great way to get your daily fruit intake, especially if you're not a fan of eating raw fruit. They can be made with any kind of fruit you like and are delicious in the summer months when fresh produce is at its peak. Drink plain coconut water Coconut water is a good source of electrolytes, which are minerals that help your body maintain its normal balance. Electrolytes keep you hydrated by helping regulate the water balance in your body. It's also an excellent source of calcium and potassium, which help prevent muscle cramps and fatigue during exercise. Drink more water Drinking plenty of fluids can help keep your body hydrated in the summer months, but if you're not used to drinking a lot of water on a regular basis, it may be hard to drink enough throughout the day. You want to avoid getting dehydrated, so keep an eye on how much water you drink each day.
