Presented by Julia Royall, Chief of International Programs at the National Library of Medicine, this document outlines the Multilateral Initiative on Malaria (MIM) communications network's evolution in Africa since its inception. The first research network of its kind, MIMCom aims to strengthen malaria research capabilities through enhanced internet access, training programs, and partnerships across 19 sites in 13 countries. With two phases focused on establishing connectivity and supporting research agendas, MIMCom has significantly improved the performance of researchers and collaborations, contributing to malaria control efforts.
