  2. Name: Madonna Louise Ciccone Born: August 16th 1958 Hometown: Bay City, Michigan Raised by: Madonna Louise her mother and her father… Madonna also has five siblings other than herself. There names are Martin, Anthony, Paula, Christopher, and Melanie.

  3. Madonna’s Relationships Madonna graduated from high school a semester early. She received a full dance scholarship from U of M. Madonna studied there for two years and then went off to New York to pursue her dance career. While in New York Madonna met her ex boyfriend Dan Gilroy who was in a band .The bands name was The Breakfast Club.

  4. ........ While still with Dan Gilroy, Madonna moved to France and became a showgirl. In 1980 Madonna moved back to the U.S. and joined his band. She played the drums and later was lead singer.

  5. Start of Madonna’s Career • In 1981 Madonna decided to go solo. • Her first hit was “Everyday” and it was number one in the dance charts in 1982. • She then produced a full length album in 1983.

  6. Soon girls everywhere started to wear Madonna’s look. Anywhere from the lace gloves to her hair. She was a trendsetter and a role model in those early years. After she went through her misbehaving era, girls looked up to her again.

  9. Madonna’s Marriage • Madonna married actor Sean Penn and co-starred with him in the movie Shanghai- Surprise.

  10. “Like a Virgin” which is the video you watched early became a controversial subject about Madonna and her acting bad. There were rumors going around that Madonna and her husband had a violent relationship. They ended up getting a divorce. But out of all of this she became more popular than ever.

  11. By 1991 Madonna had 21 top ten hits, generating $1.2 billion. She then married Guy Ritchie in 2000 and adopted their son. • She then wrote her 1st children’s book “The English roses” in 2003. • Madonna was inducted into the inaugural UK Hall of fame in 2004. • In 2008 she was named the world’s wealthiest female musician by Forbes magazine. Madonna’s estimated worth was more than $72 million in the last year alone.

  12. In 2009 she released a 3rd greatest hits album “Celebration.” • She is currently planning another live album and new film project.
