Present • Compass II: Partnerships with CCCs – 14 CSUs and 26 CCCs • Continued focus on LEAP, GE, high-impact practices, inclusive excellence • 6 pilot partnerships • 12 networking partnerships • Valuable lessons being learned • Alignment with Student Success Task Force and Graduation Initiative

  4. Future:Emerging Ideas • Thematic paths across multiple GE areas • Integration of support services into classroom • New models of assessing & documenting SLOs at student, course, program, & institutional levels • Expanded list of high-impact practices • Independence across partnerships • Emphasis on faculty development

  5. Future:Beyond Compass II • Building the case and support for change in GE • Encouraging flexibility, experimentation, & collaboration • Developing a statewide “networked improvement community” through MERLOT, inter-segmental collaboration • Future Compass-related work integrated into the CSU GE Advisory Committee with CCC representation. • Next steps????
