  2. Power Distribution Board • The power distribution board distributes power to all the other components in a robot.

  3. Closer Look at the Power Distribution Board • It has 12 output pairs for 30 amps (in red) and 12 output pairs for 40 amps (in blue). This means that components on these output pairs can either get max 30 or 40 amps. Output for Robot Radio (D Link) Output for cRIO Output for Axis Camera

  4. Snap Action Circuit Breakers • Snap into the power distribution board. These circuit breakers limit the current that goes to the different components in the robot.

  5. Purpose of Snap Action Circuit Breakers • Should more than, for example, 40 amps, go through the circuit, the circuit breaker will “snap” out and prevent wires from getting overheated and melting. • The circuit breakers will not prevent components from receiving excess current and overheating!
