  1. GOALS • Increase chapter membership by 20% • Provide four education offerings a year • Provide one chapter sponsored conference

  2. Secretary President Treasurer Membership, Nomination, Publication, Education, Community Service, Audit, Immediate past officers

  3. Education Committee • Reports to Officers. Meeting minutes to Secretary. Communicates with Publications. • Focus: Arrange CE programs of interest to members. • Conduct a yearly education needs/interest assessment. • Compile results. • Identify speakers for priority topics identified in needs • assessment. Preference to presentations with CE credit. • Consult with Officers if presentation fee without sponsor.

  4. Education Committee • Solicit sponsors for the program venue costs and/or • refreshments. If uncovered expenses, consult with • Officers. • Reserve program venue and order refreshments if not • done by sponsor. • Submit for CE credit for the program when possible. • Identify if program venue has WiFi connection, screen, • projector, etc.. See program planning form. • Complete program advertisement form and submit to • Publications Committee 6 weeks prior to presentation, • minimum 4 weeks.

  5. Membership Committee • Reports to Officers. Meeting minutes to Secretary. • Collaborates with Publications. • Focus: • Public relations - promoting the chapter through • marketing and recruitment • Solicit hospital liaisons to distribute chapter meeting and program notices and newsletter

  6. Publications Committee • Reports to Officers. Meeting minutes to Secretary. • Collaborate with all committees to collect information of interest to membership. • Focus: • Develop monthly newsletter. • Maintain AACN chapter website and Facebook page. • Create program flyers/brochures.

  7. Nominations Committee • Reports to Officers. Meeting minutes to Secretary. • Focus: Promote member participation in Chapter. • Identify interested members for chair/committee positions. • Solicit nominees for office via open call for nominations. • Create election ballot. • Notify membership of election and conduct voting and tally.

  8. Community Service Committee • Reports to Officers. Meeting minutes to Secretary. • Communicates with Publications. • Focus: • Identify and coordinate participation in community events and volunteer opportunities. • Identify fundraising methods and recipients for donations.

  9. Audit Committee • Reports to Officers. Meeting minutes to Secretary. • Comes together in June to perform the annual chapter financial audit.
