  2. Nathan Deal (Governor) John Nathan Deal is 71 years old. The major duty the governor’s top goal is making Georgia the No. 1 place in the nation to do business, a goal he’s strived toward by creating the Competitiveness Initiative, reforming our tax code and recruiting businesses to relocate here.

  3. Casey Cagle (Lieutenant Governor) Lowell S. Casey Cagle is 47 years old. Cagle filed paperwork for the Republican nomination for Governor of Georgia. According to documents filed with the Georgia State Ethics Commission, the Georgians for Cagle campaign raised $1,255,543.45 in the second half of 2008. This was nearly $700,000 more than Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine who raised $564,270.00.[9][10]

  4. Dr. John Barge(State school Superintendent) Slashed budgets, deficit spending, and layoffs occurring regularly across the state, school systems, leaders, and teachers are under extreme pressure and they need a leader who will not only be a voice for them in the legislature, but also one who will listen to their concerns, respect their opinions, and understand how state-level decisions impact the local school districts. Dr. John Barge is the most qualified candidate with the experience necessary to bring hope to our schools.

  5. Mark Butler(Commissioner of Labor) The Department of Labor, under Commissioner Butler’s management, has worked directly with other public departments including the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and the Georgia Department of Economic Development to use in the state.

  6. Brian Kemp(Secretary of State) The office of the secretary of state provides education and examinations, issues licenses and collects license fees, investigates complaints or violations of the law, and issues reprimands.

  7. Sam Olens(Attorney General) As Attorney General, Olens is committed to serving Georgians by defending the U.S. and Georgia Constitutions and upholding the rule of law.

  8. Gary Black(Commissioner of Agriculture) The Georgia Department of Agriculture administers a variety of programs which all have a primary goal - to maintain the state's viable farm industry and protect the consuming public

  9. Ralph Hudgens(Insurance Commissioner) His duties include regulating approximately 1,600 insurance companies, licensing 137,000 insurance agents, and regulating over 1,000 industrial loan offices.

  10. Chuck Eaton(Public service Commissioner) Faced with a difficult economy and increasingly extreme environmental regulations, Chuck is fighting for an energy policy that attracts jobs to our state. To ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with increasingly stringent EPA regulations, he’s voted for a diverse mix of electricity that will ensure competitive rates for generations to come.

  11. Justice Carol Hunstein(Chief Justice, Georgia Supreme Court) Prior to her appointment to the Supreme Court, Justice Hunstein was the first woman to serve as President of the Council of Superior Court Judges. By virtue of that office, she is the first person ever to have served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court before becoming a permanent member of the Court.

  12. David Ralston(Speaker of the House) In 1992, Ralston was elected to the Georgia State Senate and served until 1998 when he won the Republican nomination for Attorney General of Georgia. In 2002, Ralston was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives.

  13. David Shafer(President pro tempore of Senate) His duties as Senate President Pro Tempore, Senator Shafer is also vice chair of the Senate Insurance and Labor Committee and a member of the Senate Appropriations, Health and Human Services and Reapportionment and Redistricting Committees.

  14. Williams H. NeSmith, Jr.(Chairperson, Georgia Board of Regents) His goal is to graduate more college students, while being good stewards of Georgia’s resources, especially in these times.

  15. Saxby hambliss(State Senator) Clarence Saxby Chambliss is 70 years old. Chambliss is a lonley far-right Republican follower according to GovTrack's own analysis of bill sponsorship. Chambliss’s bills have had a total of 8 cosponsors in the 113th Congress.

  16. Margaret Kaiser(State Representative) Currently serve on the following committees: Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Appropriations, Health and Human Services, and education.
