  1. Account Plan and Notesand Attachmentsin CRM Bob Arnone Training Manager May 13, 2011

  2. Account Plan and Notes The Account Plan and Notes tab within the Account Management view, is the place to store all strategic pieces of information about the account. It is not the place to record daily call notes. To add new notes, click on the Edit icon to the left.

  3. Account Plan and Notes Enter strategic notes that apply to each of the sections provided. Scroll down to see more options: Customer Goals/Objectives My Goals/Objectives for This Account My Action Items/Next Steps Primary Competitors When you are finished with this section, click the Back button on the left.

  4. Account Plan and Notes If you would like to enter further strategic notes beyond the topics in the first section, click the New button. If not, and you’re finished, just click the Save button above.

  5. Account Plan and Notes From the Text Type box drop down select Sales Text.

  6. Account Plan and Notes Enter any data you like in this large open field box. When you’re finished, click Back then Save.

  7. Account Plan and Notes If you choose, you could also enter more personal contact-specific information in the Contact Personal Notes section (birthdays, favorite sports teams, etc.). This is NOT the place to store or update basic contact information. That must be done in the Contact section in Account Management.

  8. Account Plan and Notes Keep in mind that you always have the additional ability to attach documents of any kind to the Account Management view by scrolling down to the Attachments tab, and clicking the word Attachment.

  9. Account Plan and Notes Click on the Browse button.

  10. Account Plan and Notes Locate the file, click on it, then click the Open button.

  11. Account Plan and Notes The file location populates in the Browse box. Now click the Attach button.

  12. Account Plan and Notes The document is now attached and can be updated at any time. There is no limit to the number of documents you can store here.

  13. Customer Website Links To attach a direct link to a customer website, in the Attachments section click on URL.

  14. Customer Website Links In this box, enter the URL link to the site, then name it, then add a very brief description. Click Attach.

  15. Customer Website Links The link now appears in the Attachments section. Click on the name.

  16. Customer Website Links The web site appears.
