For applicants who still want to know more about different disciplines before declaring a specific major programme in 2nd year of study. • Students are enrolled under the Faculty / School instead of a specific programme • Students take courses in different disciplines in 1st year. Students have a broader view on various disciplines before programme selection in 2nd year. • No of quota in 2nd year / No quota restriction / Free choice • Enrollment in 2nd year based on GPA in 1st year and/or HKDSE results • Academic advising and counseling Broad based (廣泛學科收生 / 聯合收生 / 大類收生)/College based/ School based / Faculty based (學院制收生)

For Higher Diploma (HD) Programmes The Admission Score for applicants of HD programmes will be calculated based on their HKDSE results in English, Chinese and 3 other subjects with the best subject scores, after weightings are applied. * 5**=6, 5*=5, 5=4, 4=3, 3=2, 2=1 and 1 or below = 0 ^ Core subjects are given a weighting of at least ‘7’; Preferred subjects will be a weighting of ‘10’ # Preferred subject
