  2. Introduction Today, lifts and escalators are an essential part of almost every building construction or refurbishment project. Their advanced technology and efficiency help people and freight move across floors easily in high-rise buildings.

  3. What are Lifts and Escalators? A lift is a form of vertical transportation that easily moves passenger and freight from one floor to another in a closed car. It is propelled by an electric motor through a system of cables and sheaves. An escalator, on the other hand, is a moving staircase that mostly carries passengers between floors of a building. It makes use of a motor-driven chain of individually linked steps arranged like an endless belt that continuously moves upwards or downwards.

This, in turn, gives rise to the need for lifts and escalators to make mobility quick and easy.
