  1. Todays Lesson (1) • We are going to: • Use bodyscapes to represent scenes in Hobbledown. • Individually use bodyscapes to convey emotions

  2. Bodyscapes Bodyscapes are when we make a still image just using our bodies. ‘Down, down, down beneath the gumblegook trees’ You have 30 seconds to get into groups and pick a card from the Bodyscape pack. Each group will perform a Bodyscape of what is written on their card.

  3. Plenary What is a Bodyscape? Write down one thing you have learnt today? What have you found difficult during this lesson? What have you enjoyed most about this lesson? What will you do differently in the next lesson?

  4. TodaysLesson(2) • We are going to: • Use Tableau to convey a scene including characters • Start to develop characters and what they are thinking

  5. ‘SomethingUnpleasant’ Tableau is a bodyscape including characters, this can also be called a freeze frame. You will create a tableau of this chapter. You can choose whichever part of the chapter you like This will be performed to the class(no props to be used) (I may ask you what you are thinking in the scene)

  6. ‘Rumpletump and Roses’ Tableau is a bodyscape including characters, this can also be called a freeze frame. You will create a tableau of this chapter.   8. Todays Lesson (3) • We are going to: • learn what is meant by narration • learn to perform to a narration

  9. ‘Dressed in striped pajamas...’ Teacher to read to the class from page 51 ‘Dressed in striped pajamas...’ until the end of the chapter. Now you are to create a play based on the chapter I have just read; I will read the chapter during your performance at the end of the lesson.
