  1. Sanjay Manjrekar Says Rules On Bad Light Could Be Better Former India cricketer turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has recently said that he hopes the ongoing World Test Championship final does not end in a draw because of the bad light which has already played its part and halted the game as well. While the first and fourth day of the match was abandoned due to rain, a lot of the third session on the second day couldn’t take place due to bad light and light rain also. The concept of bad light is that you are so much at a disadvantage that a batsman cannot see the ball and they could get out or could get hurt. But that yardstick is now completely gone,” Sanjay Manjrekar said on ESPNCricinfo. “Now we have a certain kind of understanding of what is good and what is bad, and it is always the officials who are on the side of caution. Very rarely would you see the officials forcing the players to continue playing against their wishes.”

  3. As far as the game is concerned, New Zealand have started quite well as they bundled India out for 217 on the back of a five-wicket haul by their young pace bowler Kyle Jamieson. Even, their openers – Tom Latham and Devon Conway have given a steady start and ended at 101 for 2 on Day 3. And, after their dismissal, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor steadied the ship as well. However, the fourth day has been washed out and it will be interesting to see how things turn on the fifth day.
