Galatians • 2:11-13 – “But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12 For before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party. 13 And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy.”

  5. Galatians • 6:1 – “Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.”

  6. THAT WE ARE GOD’S CHILDREN • We Are Born of Him (5:18-19) • If We Are Like Him • Righteousness = Happiness • Sin = Separation from God • If Children, Then Heirs • The heir inherits the blessings – Rom. 8:15-17

  7. Romans 8:15-17 “For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.”

  8. THAT WE ARE GOD’S CHILDREN • We Are Born of Him (5:18-19) • If We Are Like Him • Righteousness = Happiness • Sin = Separation from God • If Children, Then Heirs • The heir inherits the blessings – Rom. 8:15-17 • The big “IF” – Gal. 3:29 – “And IF you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.”

  11. THAT THE SON OF GOD HAS COME • Has Given Us Understanding (5:20) • John 10:30-38 • Has Given Us Salvation • 1 Cor. 15:12-26 • Abides In Us and We In Him (4:16) • Forgives Our Sins • Do Not Love the World (2:15-17)

  12. 1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world — the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions — is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”
