Description/Abstract of Lessons • Students will • engage in discussions and activities focusing on skills/characteristics that employers are pursuing when looking for employees (leadership, initiative, teamwork and creative solutions). • discuss the importance/role of these skills/characteristics in pursuing employment/entrepreneurships. • Discussion and activities will focus on: • leadership, initiative, teamwork and creative solutions. • Discussions and activities will involve: • self-assessment of these skills and methods of practicing these skills
Goals of Lesson: “212 Degrees” • Student will • Become acquainted with skills (leadership, initiative, teamwork and creative solutions) important to employers and entrepreneurships. • Become aware of their own employability/entrepreneurship skills (leadership, initiative, teamwork and creative solutions). • Learn methods of practicing employability/entrepreneurship skills (leadership, initiative, teamwork and creative solutions) in areas of their lives: home, school, teams, work. • Explore and use animation websites for presentations that focus on these skills.
Goals of Lesson: Leadership and Initiative • Student will • Become acquainted with the skill of using limited creative solutions and realize its importance to employers and entrepreneurships. • Become aware of their own ability to find limited creative solutions and will determine methods of practicing this skill in areas of their lives: home, school, teams, work.
