Principles Behind Recommendations • Recommend BCCs for new Municipality, where needed • Recommend disbandment of unneeded BCCs • Maximize citizen participation where possible and tap local expertise • Obtain efficiencies and savings where possible • Provide training and education of citizen participants • Encourage improved inclusive process of candidate review • Note: Each BCC will require new members to be appointed, effective 1/1/13 • 32 Existing BCCs reviewed by Subcommittee
