    1. Gang Prevention Funds Historically, funds have not been allocated to DJS for reducing gang-related violence. Established DJS Gang Investigation Unit.

    2. DJS Gang Investigation Unit Investigate and examine all gang-related incidents within DJS facilities statewide. Interview possible gang members in DJS facilities; focus on encouraging youth to leave gang and help find alternatives. Develop an anti-gang environment; remove gang related names, symbols, or graffiti on books, papers, clothes, walls. Provide gang awareness training to DJS staff. Develop intervention and prevention programs for youth in DJS care. DJS Contact: Frank Clark
