  2. Online Courses • LMS = Learning Management System • The LMS supported by the College is Etudes • Integrated Roster support • Faculty training and support • Student Help Desk • Some faculty use textbook publisher provided systems, mainly in Mathematics

  3. Three Uses • A LMS may be used in three ways: • To teach fully-online courses (Internet) • To teach partly-online courses (Hybrid) • To teach traditional on-campus courses with the addition of online resources (Web-Enhanced)

  6. Faculty: Full-Time, Part-Time Graph of faculty teaching at least one Internet or hybrid course. There are a total of 231 faculty trained in Etudes. Data source: Planning, Research and Institutional Effectiveness

  7. Faculty Training in Etudes • On-campus training is offered in the Professional Development Center • Training lasts four weeks • During training, all of the tools in Etudes are covered using real course material

  8. Faculty Training, Option 2 • There is also a fully-online training course available from Etudes, Inc. • The online course lasts for 2-weeks • There is a $75 fee to take the online course • Most faculty using Etudes have elected to take the on-campus training
