  2. Title 5 Requirements – EEO Plan Title 5, §53003 requires the Board to develop and adopt a district-wide EEO Plan. Plans are to be submitted to the Chancellor’s office for review and approval at least every 3 years.

  3. Components of the plan must include: • Analysis of the number of persons from monitored groups who are employed in the district's work force and those who have applied for employment. • Monitored Groups are: • Gender • Ethnic Group Identification* • Disability *A person may designate multiple ethnic groups with which he or she identifies, but shall be counted in only one ethnic group for reporting purposes.

  4. Components of the plan must include: • Analysis of the degree to which monitored groups are underrepresented in comparison to the numbers of persons from such groups whom the Chancellor determines to be available and qualified to perform the work required for each such job category and whether or not the underrepresentation is significant Chancellor’s Office has not completed determination of availability data

  5. Title 5 Requirements – EEO Plan Why have an EEO Plan if there is no availability data? Other requirements of the plan/Title 5: • Policy Statement • Delegation of Responsibility, Authority and Compliance • Diversity Committee • Complaints • Notification to District Employees • Training for Screening/Selection Committees • Annual Written Notices to Community Organizations
