Building a Microscope Project: Final Testing & Assembly Schedule

Over the weekend, we figured out the diffraction limit, appropriate magnification, lengths needed, and started building the final microscope. Today, it's all about testing and modifying as we move towards final assembly, with documentation and website tasks outlined for the week.

Over the Weekend… • Figured out diffraction limit • Figured out appropriate magnification given this limit • Found lengths for this magnification • Started building the final microscope • In the process of running some final test before we definitely fix the length of everything • Today: “Test and Modify” • Final Testing More Building of the Microscope • Documentation and Website

Schedule… MON • Final Tests to Determine Distances • Tweaking of Distances TUE • Start final assembly (as in lengths can’t be changed after this) • Cut barrels, press fits  Finalizing/Integrating Documentation WED • Finish the Microscope Up • Last joints, glues, etc THUR/FRI • Documentation and Website DONE!!!
