Guided Discussion/Exploration • Task: Find U.S. locations likely to have significant fire danger in coming days • How might we get a national idea of dryness of fuels? • What are the key weather elements? • What are some threshold values? • Should thresholds vary by location? • How might terrain factor on a large scale? • What are the NWS warnings for fire weather conditions?
