  1. Welcome to Team 5! Mrs. Bumgarner Ms. Thor

  2. In the Mornings • Sit outside your homeroom class. • You may do work. • You may listen to music or use your phone. • You might be pulled into a classroom to get extra help on work or to get caught up, like Lunch Time Learning, but in the morning!

  3. Lockers • You will go to your lockers during homeroom before Straight From the Horse’s Mouth. • Get everything you need for the day, except lunch or if you have gym clothes or an instrument. • You will not be allowed to go get paper, pencils, Reviews, or anything else that you should have for class! • You will go at the end of 4th block and before 2nd Related.

  4. Restroom • You will get a pass that you can use 5 times during the week. • You must have your teacher initial it in ink. Please try to go before or after notes or new material is explained, not during! • Free times to use the restroom are before homeroom, or on the way to your Related. • You can use the restroom on the way back from your Related on the other halls, but not in our building!

  5. If you don’t have your pass and you HAVE to go, you will need to sit at lunch detention. • Try to go during your free times!

  6. Sustained Silent Reading

  7. SSR • You will have your book out on your desk before we go to lunch. • You can pick one from my shelf if you forget!

  8. Rules • Be respectful of the teacher and other classmates • Be responsible • Follow school rules at all times • Do not engage in any type of horseplay • Bring needed materials to each class-every day! • Be prepared to learn and to allow others to learn

  9. Classroom Procedures • Come into class quietly and begin warm-up for the day. • Do not get out of your seat unless you have permission. • Raise your hand to sharpen your pencil or ask a question.

  10. Consequences • Verbal Warning • Parents/Guardians contacted • Demerits • Lunch detention • Office Referral

  11. Lunch Detention • You will report to the “Lunch Detention” table over by the window wall in the cafeteria. • You will wait until the teacher tells you to get in line for your food. • You will NOT talk. If you choose to talk, you will have lunch detention the next day. • You will throw your trash away when the teacher tells you to.

  12. After School • If you ride a bus, you will return to our building and wait in the classroom until your bus is called. • DO NOT wander around until your bus is called, you will get demerits! • If you are a walker or car rider, you will leave from 2nd Related class.
