  4. Confidentiality Encourages • People to use services needed to help them • People seeking help • Family participation in seeking help

  5. Professions Which Require Confidentiality • Medicine • Law • Religion • Psychology • Journalism • Education • Social Work • Etc.

  6. The Limits of Confidentiality It is our duty to report when: • A person will suffer from results of harmful behavior • A person intends to harm him/herself or someone else • A person is being harmed by someone else • A person threatens someone
