A brief description (really) • A “barcode on steroids” • A way to store a larger set of instructions • 2.9 KB or 4296 alphanumeric characters • A way to attach computer information to objects in the real world • Can be scanned with any camera-equipped Smartphone • The Smartphone “knows” what to do with the code, with the installation of a very small application

How Does It Work? • Create a barcode: http://www.delivr.com/qr-code-generator, http://qrstuff.com/ • Content can be so many things! • Print it, embed it, project it – whatever! • Students and/or parents can scan the codes from posters, cards, labels, etc and see multimedia content related to the print media • Expand the classroom learning experience!

What can you use it for?imagine • Scavenger and treasure hunts • Poster projects with multimedia content • Field trips using prepared content on cards • Communicate without dictating – did I mention 4296 alphanumeric characters? • Remember - any internet link can be encoded, as long as your device can handle it.
