Innovations must be tested, piloted, developed, and TRIED to full potential. Innovation potential must be fully exploited and UTILIZED to benefit CG performance Solicit Innovation Innovations are sought out from Team CG E-submission via database Review, endorsement, posting HQ/LANT/PAC Councils Reward Innovation Timely and fair award process Program Support: CG Leadership HQ Innovation Council Area Innovation Councils CG Innovation Expo Sustain Innovation Within the Coast Guard Evaluate global implementation Larger global projects shared with programs Submit resource proposals as appropriate Local Support: District support Command Support Implement/Fund Innovation Smaller projects tested, piloted, or given seed money Local innovation councils evaluate and fund locally Innovation shared internally & externally if appropriate Innovation pushed out to potential users Share Innovation CG Innovation Expo Innovation properly closed out and feedback collected George Yacus, Ph.D. June 2007
