StANDBY POWER SAVED • Pstandby =3*( .08A*120VRMS )= 28.8W • Pa.u.m.s. = (Pstandby/4) + 2.28W = 4.68W • Percent saved = 100% - 4.68W/28.8W = 83% saved! Cut-off power saved • Pstandby =3*( .08A*120VRMS )= 28.8W • Pa.u.m.s. = 0W + 2.28W = 2.28W • Percent saved = 100% - 2.28W/28.8W = 92% saved! The A.U.M. Device
Using the hall effect sensors and magnets; the device can sense which pre set outlet is equipped • There are two pre set outlets • The first outlet the device into standby mode • The second outlet sets the device into sleep mode The A.U.M. Device
Outlets turn off when timer runs out • User specified countdown • Timer overrides Standby Mode • Great for chargers or late nights The A.U.M. Device
Our project worked with very little problems in the end. The modes worked and the peripheral interfaces communicated effectively with the main device MCU Power Calculations came out to 0-5% accuracy as desired Some processes were delayed, due to constant interrupts and polling Streamlined MCU program and more sophisticated Android App would be ways to improve our design More compact physical and aesthetic housing design
