  33. Keep devices charging whenever not in use. Batteries drain over a few weeks even when the device is turned off. Main battery drains in a few days – backup batteries drain over 1 to 2 weeks. • The devices are run on lithium ion batteries which cannot be “overcharged” and do not need to be fully flattened before recharging.

  34. But …if batteries go flat, you do not lose: • Portable Impact Software • Custom Configurations • Text files • Dictionary entries • Pronunciation exceptions • Abbreviation expansions

  35. Make sure you always turn off the speaker batteries when not in use. • Best to keep a spare speaker battery and backup Palmtop battery on hand. (Tablet’s backup battery is rechargeable – Palmtop’s is not.)
