  1. Graham Maxfield Co-ordinator GAM3 Always worked for large international manufacturing companies (never Infor) CIO Alcoa Europe (BCS) Implemented Movex across Europe (1992) “Retired” 2003 (aged 54) Started GAM3 – Jan 2008 Lincoln (city 100 miles due north London, UK) Houses / Cathedral over 2,000 years old Original copy of Magna Carta

  2. GLOBAL ASSOCIATION OF M3 USER GROUPS Background • GAM3 is a non-profit organisation, run by the CUSTOMERS • Customers join their local user group (MUGA) not GAM3, nor IOC • GAM3 membership is then automatic • GAM3 is well supported by Infor but NOT financially • The Product Enhancement Process is the second highest priority for development by Infor (Highest is LEGAL requirements) • The PEP has been running successfully since 2008 • Success rate, so far, 40% of the requests available as STANDARD within 18 months • There are NO charges from either GAM3 or Infor for this Process

  3. GLOBAL ASSOCIATION OF M3 USER GROUPS The Old Process • PEP is run once a year • Correlated into a single simple Spreadsheet • There was 541 requests last year • There are 997 requests carried forward • Only 116 companies voted last year (highest ever) • Not enough information can be shown. • Tight timetable – insufficient time to do the job properly • No chance of discussion / improvement of suggestion

  4. GLOBAL ASSOCIATION OF M3 USER GROUPS The New (Interim) Process • Use of existing Socious software • www.inforcommunities.com • Not integrated to M3, ION, ming.le, & not owned by Infor • Has numerous other faults • But it’s a good start (Aunt Sally?) • Potential Infor replacement May 2014

  5. GLOBAL ASSOCIATION OF M3 USER GROUPS Features of New Process • Anyone registered can enter a request. • At any time (not just when submission window is open) • New requests are highlighted to each user • Each user can add a request to their “Favourites” • Anyone can add a comment, or enhance the request • Not just text. Screen prints or Files (Specifications) can be added • Anyone can vote (rate) the request & add a priority • Infor Development can take over the request, before voting • Each request has a current status:- • Active, User Group, Development, Testing, Live

  6. GLOBAL ASSOCIATION OF M3 USER GROUPS Downside of New Process • Not all M3 requests are held in one place • Because any user can rate a request, a company can get ALL their employees to register and vote (rate) their requests, distorting the overall view • Because other uses can add / enhance the request, it can become something that the original user does not want

  7. GLOBAL ASSOCIATION OF M3 USER GROUPS Downside of New Process • Not all M3 requests are held in one place • Because any user can rate a request, a company can get ALL their employees to register and vote (rate) their requests, distorting the overall view • Because other uses can add / enhance the request, it can become something that the original user does not want • These issues do NOT de-value the new (interim) system • and hopefully these will be removed next year
