Minecraft – William Prior

In this Minecraft project, I built an innovative auto-harvesting wheat farm featuring a collection area, redstone-activated pistons, and an auto-irrigation system, all within a secure indoor environment. My design includes a glass path for easy plant access while preventing animals from destroying crops. Initially, I lost a prototype without a roof, prompting improvements in the current design. With a complex redstone circuit ensuring automation, my farm efficiently collects crops with water flowing directly into the collection pit. Check out my YouTube video for a detailed look!

  1. Minecraft – William Prior In this game I created a auto harvesting wheat farm. This farm has collection area, red stone activated pistons, auto-irrigation system and it is an indoor farm. I deliberately designed the irrigation system in an enclosed glass path so that I could walk across to plant my crops. I made a prototype of this but I lost it because I accidentally deleted my work. In that prototype it had no roof and no front doors. This had its setbacks because animals kept coming in and destroying my crop. Hence, I thought of a better idea and came up with this one.

  3. Collection pit Water flows to the edge here and stops but still allows items to fall down, a much more efficient way of collecting your crops.

  4. Redstone setup Here you can see a slightly complicated Redstone circuit, I had to use repeaters because the Redstone current wouldn’t reach from the lever to the pistons at the other end all in one go.

  5. With pistons open Here you can see my farm with the Redstone current not flowing and the pistons in. This allows the water source behind to flow out and flood over the farm. The blue circles mark the Redstone current and the red is to show the piston’s positions
