Purpose of the Study: • Investigate the health status and risk behaviors of CSULB students in order to: • Improve, develop and evaluate services at the SHS, HRC & ATOD • Demonstrate accomplishment for accreditation from AAAHC • Standard of Practice for college health (ACHA guidelines)
Data Analysis • SPSS 16.0 • Basic analysis using frequencies and percentages • Comparison of data from 2008 to 2006 and 2004 • Comparison of data to ACHA-NCHA 2007
Study Design • This was an anonymous, cross-sectional survey. • An electronically, self-administered survey sent through email link using Survey Share.com • Enrollment Services provided 3500 randomly chosen email addresses from matriculated students • Electronic surveys were sent via email on October 1st and October 6th, 2008 utilizing SurveyShare.com
Outcomes • This study was approved by the CSULB Institutional Review Board (IRB) on July 14th, 2008. • The response rate was 9.4% • 328 students completed the survey • Results were downloaded into SPSS 16.0
