SAINT GEORGE THE DRAGON SLAYER
The St. George group is located in Storkyrkan — the Church (now Cathedral) of Saint Nicholas in Stockholm (Sweden) The knight can be detached from the horse – and maybe he used to be carried around in processions. It wasn't before 1901 that the work was attributed to Bernt Notke.
In Gamla Stan (the old Stockholm Town) there's a bronze-copy from 1912-13, moulded by Otto Meyer
Copenhagen The National Museum The group was carved ca. 1520 by Hans Bruggemann.
