  2. Romanian painter David Croitor was born in Suceava on 27th March 1958. Graduated from the Geology Faculty inside the University in Bucharest in 1988. Attended free painting and drawing classes with Dimitrie Loghin (1910-1982) in Suceava in 1978 and with Aurel Aniței in Bucharest in 1981. Lives in Vatra Dornei and works exclusively as an independent painter. Made his first appearance inside the Faculty of Geology in Bucharest in 1986. Member of the Writers' and Artists' Association in Vatra Dornei, the "Nicolae Tonitza" Art Association in Suceava and the Artists' Association in Mureș, he participated in many collective and personal exhibitions. In 1992 he is mentioned in written press, in different magazines, newspapers. It is relevant the volume ‘Fidelity exercises’ which appeared in 2007 in Iasi at the publishing house Art XXI, author Valentin Ciucă [pages 576-578]. He is also included in the ‘Illustrated dictionary of beautiful arts in Moldova, 1800 – 2010’ pages 161 -162, published in 2011 at the publishing house ART XXI, author Valentin Ciucă. He is also found with different works of art in private collections in the country, most of them in Bucharest, but also abroad: England, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Sweden, Canada, USA.

  3. David Croitor a fost laureat în 2008 cu Premiul pentru artă oferit de Asociația Artiștilor și Scriitorilor din Țara Dornelor și în același an cu Premiul pentru pictură al Fundației Culturale a Bucovinei. În 2012 Consiliul Județean Suceava i-a recunoscut meritele prin Premiul „Pictorul Anului”
