  2. The Perfect Day • In chapter 10, Jess goes to Washington, D.C. with Miss Edmonds. For him, it is a perfect day. They visit the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian Institution. He gets to see the Lincoln Memorial. And most importantly, he gets to spend time alone with Miss Edmonds. • Create a scrapbook for Jess so he can remember his wonderful ideas. Use details from the chapter to make your scrapbook at detailed as possible. • This is a scrapbook, not a journal, so it should contain memorabilia from the day. • Be sure to use captions and notes to explain items in the scrapbook and to connect to text evidence.
