  1. 1-POINT PERSPECTIVE Learning how to draw a bird’s eye view of a city.

  2. Start with a vanishing point in the middle of the paper. .

  3. Draw a rectangle in the corner of your paper. Make sure your lines are vertical and horizontal . .

  4. Draw lines from the inner corners of the rectangle to the vanishing point. .

  5. To make the bottom of your building, you copy the line at the top of the building. If it’s a vertical line at the top, it’s a vertical line at the bottom. If it’s a horizontal line at the top, it’s a horizontal line at the bottom. vertical horizontal .

  6. To make another style of building, start with a rectangle placed below the vanishing point. Make sure the lines are vertical and horizontal. Use your ruler. .

  7. Corners facing the vanishing point have to go to the vanishing point! .

  8. What you do at the top of your building, you have to do at the bottom. . Hint: Horizontal line

  9. Erase what you don’t need (guidelines) and then you have another style of building! .

  10. Keep adding these shapes and soon you will have a whole city. .

  11. Windows and doors are drawn using the same formula. Draw lines down the side of your building and have them go to the vanishing point. .

  12. What you draw at the top, you now draw down the side of your building. Spacing will get smaller as you get to the bottom. • VERTICAL LINES ALL THE WAY DOWN!!!! . Horizontal lines all the way down!!!!

  13. Add vertical and horizontal lines to represent roadways. .

  14. Add landscaping. .

  15. YOU’RE DONE! .
