The Influence of Digital on Consumer Behavior and Brand Loyalty

In 2019, digital sales reached $3,578 billion, excluding travel and event tickets. Consumers who use digital platforms during their shopping journey are more likely to spend more, with over half spending at least 25% more than intended. Product information found on social channels influences shopping behavior and enhances brand loyalty for 75% of consumers. Moreover, 84% of visitors use digital for shopping-related activities before or during their store visits. Mobile devices are expected to account for 25% of all U.S. online sales by 2017, as online shoppers spend more time shopping on mobile compared to desktops (55% of retail minutes).
