  15. Read my blog ! www.missionhealthyliving.org Tips from our Program Officers Dr. Laurie BettsHealth Access Anna BrendleSchools, Recreation & Active Living How to know if you need more than one proposal: Evaluate your request by the priority areas listed below (and on our website). Ideally, your proposal will be a match to one of these six program areas. If any part of your proposal includes a capital request, please submit it as a separate proposal. Remember to choose the one that meets the anticipated OUTCOME OF YOUR PROJECT, not your organization itself. How to decide what information to share with us: We understand that you are naturally excited about the work your organization is doing and we certainly are as well! Although you could write us a book, here are ideas we consider when evaluating incoming letters of intent. Does your project… • Provide outcomes with measurable objectives tied to PAHWF priority areas (1, A, B, C, 2, 3) • Clearly focus on one priority area • Use innovation and creativity to promote collaboration within community • Demonstrate efficient and effective management of finances to promote sustainable success within the organization or program. • 1- Funding programs and solutions for long-term improvement in healthy behaviors. • 1A- Promoting healthy living through nutrition, activities and programs in public and private schools to reduce obesity and encourage healthy living. • 1B- Improving parks, programming and the built environment to increase access and physical activity. 1C- Creating and promoting social networks involving healthy living. • 2- Funding programs for physical health and emotional well-being • 3- Funding learning opportunities and strategic planning to strengthen non-profits.
