Share key concerns- specially HSSE and Business Principles with community stakeholders • Partnership with NGOs/CBOs • Setting up of Village Offices. • Formation of local committees • Delivery thro local committees and local people. Employability • Technical Education/ Employability • Post Diploma in Foremanship- Supervisory Skills- FTI Bangalore (2004)- 18 diploma engineers • Advance Diploma in Foundry Technology-Nirma Institute- (2005 & 2006), 17 diploma engineers • Diploma & certificate in Gems and Jewelry Design- Indian Diamond Institute Surat (2007); 26 graduates and undergraduates • Diploma in Advanced Welding – Wellweld institute , Navsari (2008), 8 diploma engineers. • Post Diploma in Power Plant Engg- NPTI , Neyvelli( 2009)- 6 diploma engineers • Total 75 youth employability enhanced. Only 4 employed with Hazira LNG , 71 employed elsewhere.

Education and Capacity Building -Executed thro national level expert NGO • Teachers Training (12 government schools) since 2003. • Activity Centers cum library at 11 locations for primary students. Since 2004. • Vacation activities for students. • Two Computer Literacy centre for local adults, since 2007/8. • Project based learning centre for higher secondary students since 2009. • English learning classes since 2004, avg 100 per quarter.

  6. Ecology and Environment • Mangrove plantation – 1100 ha over last 5 years. • Associated Terrestrial plantation (35,000 plants) and Horticulture saplings • Ponds and well renovation (15 ponds); • Rain water harvesting structure (4)- • Awareness program on Vulture Conservation

  7. Health and Sanitation: • Hazira Dispensary- 110,000 + patients (Dec 2009) • Collaborative project with Government, local corporate and Village organization on • HIV/Aids Awareness, (incl. Contract Staff) • Sanitation and Waste management • Pulse Polio.
