How Your Agency Can Use NEnvPHPS • Assess jurisdiction capacity to perform the 10 essential services • Identify gaps in the EH system to perform the 10 essential services • Develop action plan to address gaps/barriers to meeting NEnvPHPS standards • Educate staff about EH’s role in preventing disease and reducing hazards

  8. NEnvPHPS With Indicators and Assessment Questions: Example • ES #3: Inform, educate, and empower people about EH issues • NEnvPHPS #3: System to assist the community with identifying EH issues and setting priorities for EH • Is the community involved in setting EH priorities?
