  2. Day 1 Do Now • Compare your HW to the answer key. Write down at least 3 questions that you have.

  3. Day 1 Exit Ticket • Why does the moon look different on different nights? Write at least 3 complete sentences.

  4. Day 2 Do Now • Log on to the computer and then put the screen at 45 degrees. • The diagram below shows the earth and sun. Which season is occurring in the Southern Hemisphere? Why?

  6. Day 2 Exit Ticket • Close all programs on the laptop. Power down the laptop. Wait for it to shut off completely, then close it. • Draw a full moon. First draw JUST the moon, as it looks when seen from earth. Then try to draw a diagram showing the relative positions of the moon, the sun and the earth that would lead to the moon looking that way.

  7. Day 3 Do Now • Draw a waxing crescent moon. First draw JUST the moon, as it looks when seen from earth. Then try to draw a diagram showing the relative positions of the moon, the sun and the earth that would lead to the moon looking that way.

  8. Day 3 Exit Ticket • Draw a waning gibbous moon. First draw JUST the moon, as it looks when seen from earth. Then try to draw a diagram showing the relative positions of the moon, the sun and the earth that would lead to the moon looking that way.

  9. Day 4 Do Now • On paper (“Lunar Eclipse“)

  10. Day 4 Exit Ticket • Draw a lunar eclipse. First draw what it would look like from earth. Then draw a picture showing the relative positions of earth, moon and sun that would create the lunar eclipse.
