  1. MGS focus areas2013-14 Outreach – Client Services • Northern Schools – Career Expos:Manitoba Rocks! Establishing ongoing presence via Frontier School Division and UCN since 2012. 2014-15: Norway House, Thompson, The Pas – with Linda Murphy, MGS Community Liaison; Potential SW and SE Manitoba community outreach & other venues being explored. • Public Activity - Annual Manitoba Mining and Minerals Convention; Partnering with Mining Matters and UM-Geology – Teacher Workshops (Provincial Mining Week). Exploring opportunities to duplicate similar workshops in North. • Manitoba Rocks! Web site – Successful 2013 English website launch followed by 2014 French site (7,000 visits in April, 12,000 views). • Information Development – Manitoba Rocks! Display banner being developed for increased ‘brand’ awareness at school events & other venues. Annual info products popular with kids and teens – New – Eng/Fr bookmarks, pens, t-shirts, tote/book bags, ‘You Rock’ wristbands, etc., • Networking –Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR), PDAC-Mining Matters, Canadian Geoscience Education Network (CGEN),Aboriginal outreach CANDO (National Youth Forum). • Special Projects – Manitoba Rocks! ‘Trading Cards’ project ‘Manitoba ‘ series; 20-25 cards to engage youth in fun learning. Potential to develop as online ‘app’. Target date: Fall 2015. • Long-term: 5-year Outreach Plan
