Background • Founded on January 9,1962 • $60,000 loan from Stanford @ 4.5% interest • Mission is to “provide a swimming pool, tennis courts, and allied recreational facilities for its members…” • Eligible members are “persons who are eligible to own residences on the Stanford University campus…” • Non-profit mutual benefit corporation • 160 members, now unlimited

  4. Renovation • $2M loan from University, $2.5M grant from provost • Total cost much more • Replace and expand current clubhouse • 2050 sf to 3050 sf
