  1. Matthew Lovett on the Value of a Strong Mind When it comes to opportunity, a strong mind is one of your best assets. That's because a strong mind allows you to see opportunity where others might not, and to take advantage of opportunities when they arise. A strong mind also allows you to better withstand setbacks and challenges, and to continue pursuing your goals even in the face of adversity. In short, a strong mind is essential for anyone who wants to achieve success in life. So if you're looking for more opportunity, make sure you focus on developing a strong mind. How I Developed a Strong Mind

  2. Everyone has their own methods for developing a strong mind. Some naturally acquire this kind of mindset by living through adversity and viewing things through the proper lens. Adversity crushes some people but raises others up. My own experience was a blend of self-mastery and adversity. Though I grew up in relatively harsh conditions and faced many trials, the turning point in my development was actually meditation. One of the best ways to develop a strong mind is through meditation, period. When you meditate, you learn to focus your thoughts and quiet your mind. This allows you to better control your thoughts and emotions, and to stay calm and clear-headed even in challenging situations. In addition, meditation helps you become more aware of your own thoughts and feelings, and of the thoughts and feelings of others. This makes you more perceptive and understanding, which can help you build better relationships with the people around you. Doing so forces you to lessen the ego and become empathetic, which in turn makes you stronger. So if you want to develop a strong mind, I recommend that you start meditating regularly. It may take some time to see results, but I promise that it's worth it. The story of Matthew Lovett is one of a very willful, anxious, and angry individual who gradually developed keen self-awareness and iron-clad mental fortitude by putting in the work. When I first discovered meditation, I would sit by the lake for a couple hours at a time. I would often use this time for contemplative reflection, which is sometimes more fruitful than meditation, especially for beginners. I would also draw and write. These mindfulness sessions were important because they are in stark contrast to the common activities most people engage in. Quietude, stillness, deep self-reflection. These are alien concepts for most people. I would begin asking myself "why" I felt a certain way, why I had certain thoughts. I would question everything, and in those questions I realized the angry, edgy individual I thought I was, wasn't me at all. That was a shell, a facade.

  3. This ego-death was only one of many - as you meditate and reflect, the ego dies many times, and every time it does, you walk one step closer to freedom and mental clarity. Ultimately through much of my early 20's I lived a monastic life. I would meditate for hours every day, lived a simple life of contemplation, hard work, writing, and fitness. I found great joy here. Immense clarity came upon me, and I realized how fleeting most thoughts and emotions were - they were surface sensations only. The real depth of human character was always deep beneath the surface, unruffled by everyday events. Meditation is the gateway that allows you to access this deeper part of Self. I recommend it to everyone who is trying to develop a stronger mind - and a better life in general. When You Have a Strong Mind, Opportunity Finds You I was always a dynamic individual who wanted to shape the world around me, however my thoughts and emotions blocked my ability to manage energy. Case in point, I had many great ideas when I was a kid but rarely could manifest them. It was only after I began meditating and developing my mind that I was able to truly shape things the way I wanted and take advantage of opportunities that came my way. Kanecast was a valuable lesson. With only a modest IBM Aptiva PC and sheer willpower I was able to forge a telecommunications "business" that actually connected me with business moguls and high-paying clients, but I had no idea how to synthesize this success into something tangible. When you are ruled by emotions and low vibration thoughts, you will continuously experience "bad luck." This is simply the inability to ride energy currents which are often the keys to fortune. Anger, jealousy, arrogance, emotionalism - all of this is a massive wall between you and the life you want to live. So you can be talented and even hard-working, but if you don't know what to do with the energy you generate from these endeavors, it means nothing. This is why having a strong mind is so valuable. It isn't just about being a modern day monk. A strong mind immediately leads to tangible real world benefits: more

  4. money, better relationships, happier days. You will learn how to meticulously cut out the bad things in your life in favor of letting the good in. What I Learned Along The Way You want to start developing a strong mind and bringing more opportunity into your life? Here are some lessons I want to share (that you have probably heard before!): 1. Live in the present as much as possible. 2. Let go of things that no longer serve you. 3. Take time for yourself every day to relax and rejuvenate. 4. Find something you love to do and do it often. 5. Surround yourself with positive people who support your dreams and aspirations. 6. Forgive yourself and others for past mistakes. 7. Take action towards your goals and dreams every day, even if it's just a little bit. 8. Smile often, even when you don't feel like it. 9. Practice gratitude for the good in your life each and every day. 10. Meditate or engage in some form of mindfulness practice regularly. It's not that difficult. You have likely heard a lot of this kind of thing before. Why? Because it works. When you act in accordance with the laws of energy, things line up. Having a strong mind is extremely valuable because it will bring you everything you want out of life: more friends, cash flow, goal manifestation. The very parameters of your life will shift and amazing things will start happening - but first you must be willing to experience those ego deaths and allowing opportunity to find you. What's Next?

  5. You don't have to become a monk overnight. The idea of meditation and living mindfully can be an abstract one. So instead of following what I say, follow what I do! Follow me on Twitter, where I often share important tips on mindfulness and luxe living. If you want the full experience, follow Digital Sages on Twitter as well. We're out here changing lives and making a difference. If you want to experience the kind of transformation I had, you can. It's all up to you.
