  1. WPFL Association Challenge – Wisconsin Coalition on Donation • Commitment: • We made this a project for the Wisconsin Coalition on Donation and formed a committee. • We held a WPFL Luncheon at Miller Park in Milwaukee and we have two more luncheons planned for Madison (May-June) and the Green Bay-Appleton area (Fall). • We had a budget of $ 1,000 – sought sponsors. • Briggs & Stratton sponsored the cost of the meal. • Midwest Airlines donated the air travel. • Milwaukee Hilton City Center donated hotel rooms and a meeting room for a pre-event press conference. • Milwaukee Brewers donated their exclusive club room for the luncheon

  2. WPFL Association Challenge – Wisconsin Coalition on Donation • Action: • We invited 120 local business and association leaders. Had Dr. Moritsugu lined up to be our keynote – lost him right before the event and Reg Green flew in on short notice to replace him. • Held a breakfast meeting for all Coalition members with Reg Green. • Held a pre-event press conference at the Hilton. • Gave copies of Reg’s book and DVD to everyone in attendance. • Handed out packets with sample newsletter items, paycheck stuffers and a list of possible ideas to implement. • Developed a “Workplace Action Plan” and asked those attending to fill out and sign it before leaving.

  3. WPFL Association Challenge – Wisconsin Coalition on Donation • Results: • We had 40 in attendance at the luncheon. • Reg Green was awesome !!! • Great venue – very important – unique & different. • Several offers to partner with companies and associations there on the spot – more on the way. • State Public Health Nurses Convention - May • Donate Life Day with Milwaukee Brewers – April 8 • Brewers are displaying the Donate Life logo on their Billboard for the month of April.

  4. WPFL Association Challenge – Wisconsin Coalition on Donation • Next steps: • Coalition committee members divided the attendees into lists for follow-up. We are in the process of that right now. • Hold another luncheon in Madison within the next two months – just waiting to confirm our speaker. • Working on securing sponsorship and a date for a luncheon in the Green Bay-Appleton area. • Sending packets to companies and associations who expressed interest but couldn’t attend.
