  8. TB is transmitted by the tuberculosis patients who do not receive treatment (when coughing, sneezing, spitting, speaking)

  11. TB is curable by using 4 drugs for 6-8 months http://www.textbookofbacteriology.net/tuberculosis_3.html isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol.

  12. Why TB/HIV? • HIV is the most powerful known risk factor for reactivating latent TB infections into TB diseases • TB is the leading cause of death in PLHIV Latent TB infection Active TB (disease) Not TB infected HIV infection (70 - 113 times risk)
