  2. Produce notes on 2 sides of A4 and a planPlan A brief introduction explaining how many people see the 60s as a major turning point in society – but was it. Highlight the things you ill write about such as changing attitudes towards: young people, immigrants, women , law and order and a more liberal and permissive society Paragraph 1 – Explain how attitudes towards young people changed for better or worse or stayed the same Paragraph 2 – Explain how attitudes towards immigrants changed for better or worse or stayed the same Paragraph 3 – Explain how attitudes towards women changed for better or worse or stayed the same. Paragraph 4 – Explain how attitudes towards things like law and order and a more liberal and permissive society changed. Write a Conclusion

What to include in your notes • Your notes should be a series of key • Facts • Figures / statistics • Supporting quotes and who said them! • Important new laws • Show where you got your information from – you get extra marks for this • Hand write or word process notes [size 12 font minimum] • Make sure you have at least 5 points you can make in each paragraph that you can • support with evidence

  4. 3. Make use of your green workbook! • The basis of your answer is already in your notebook! • But – Use other relevant information like • www.nationalarchives.org/education • Google Classroom clips • Youtube – Why I hate the 60s • Interviews/60s factbook / websites

Focus on the question • Make it clear what attitudes were like before the 60s towards each topic • Make it clear what changed – better or worse? • Make it clear what did not change • Who was and was not affected • Refer to the question directly in every paragraph • Make a judgement about each topic at the end of each paragraph

  6. 5.Conclusions are very important • Reach an overall verdict about the extent that attitudes changed • Support your conclusion by referring to earlier points and explain why these things are so important.
