Be Part of a College Football Tradition The 2012 Oregon Civil War • The 2012 Civil War will be played on Saturday, November 24 at Reser Stadium in Corvallis. • On Thursday, November 15 the Ducks and Beavers will face off in your cafeteria “Civil War Promotion”. • Students can cast their “vote” by choosing either a Duck or Beaver frosted cookie during lunch on November 15.

  3. Steps for the Civil War Promotion • Order BOTH Beaver (orange) & Duck (green) cookies for November 15’s lunch • Post signs • Decorate your serving line • Display cookies in team baskets • Promote the traditional rivalry • Take down and save materials

  8. Colorful Fruits and Vegetables Orange and green fruits/vegetables are being offered for salad bars and serving lines to help with decorating

  9. Create Excitement with a Beavers vs Ducks Bulletin Board

  10. Separate and Place Cookies in two Decorated Baskets or Containers.

  11. Enthusiastic Helpers can Promote Their Favorite Team

Keeping the Civil War Score • Cookies are frosted according to teams • Orange for the Beavers • Green for the Ducks • Record the number of cookies in each basket • If you have an extra student worker, you can ask him or her to keep a running tally on the line during meal service on paper • At the end of lunch service count the cookies left in each basket report the number served for each team as the “final score”
