  3. Focus of the WG • Revise the OPST process • Prepare for next round of visit; • Mature and expand OPST system. • Revise the JIP • Quality program for authorities; • Guidance on training of inspectors; • Guidance on inspection manuals

Revised OPST process • Team briefing by JAA on items to be verified during second OPST visit; • At NAA, more focus on: • Method and procedures for continued supervision; • Method for assessing operational approval requests; • Training on (flight) operations inspectors • At Operator, more focus on: • NAA, since operator is the sample product; • Implementation of supervision by NAA

Revised OPST checklists • OPST checklist of three parts: • Part 1 – the NAA in general • Part 2 – the NAA’s supervision on JAR-OPS 1 • Part 3 – the NAA’s supervision on JAR-OPS 3 • Checklists Part 2/3 include one operator as a sample product • Checklists are standardized and brought in line with ICAO

  6. Examples • References to JAR-OPS and JIP chapters included; • Questions more detailed; • Examples of evidence to be reviewed expanded; • Status of implementation included
