  7. Stains Becker Acroma Stains are made with pigments and dyes. Pigments cover the grain of the wood and dyes accentuate the grain. Along with the pigments and dyes we use a binder to hold the pigments to the wood. Combine these ingredients with a blend of solvents and you have a stain.

  14. Pre-Catalyzed Coatings Pre-Catalyzed Coatings Becker Acroma adds a catalyst in the coating at our factory during production. The catalyst initiates a cross-linking which changes the chemical properties of the coating. It gives the coating many desirable properties such as: • Better chemical resistance than NC • Fast Drying • One Component / no catalyst add • Forgiving • Higher solids than NC (15-50% by weight) • 6 month pot life

  17. Clear Pre-Catalyzed Sealers Care Seal Pre-Cat HAPS Free FL5312 Care Seal Pre-Cat is a pre-catalyzed and pre-reduced solvent borne sealer for use on most light wood substrates.   25. Post Catalyzed Coatings Becker Acroma Post Catalyzed Coatings The applicator adds a catalyst to the coating at the time of application. The catalyst initiates a chemical reaction or cross-linking which changes the chemical properties of the coating. This catalyst causes the cross-linking reaction to happen faster than a pre catalyzed coating and provides a more durable product.
