typical minimuma-level profiles in 2014 • Comberton • 5 GCSEs at B or above including Maths and English, Minimum of a B grade in subjects to be studied at A-Level • Hills Road • To be invited to an informal guidance interview about your course, you will need an estimated profile of an average of grade B or above across your Key Stage 4 qualifications. This average will be based on your best eight subjects, including Maths and English Language. You do not specifically need an estimated grade B in Maths or English Language unless this is an entrance requirement for one of your AS level courses. • Impington • 5 GCSEs at C or above including Maths and English Language, ideally with B grade in subjects intend to take at AS. • At least 7 GCSEs at grade C or above in a range of subjects including Maths and English. • Long Road • Netherhall • Students are expected to have 7 GCSE grades of C or above in an appropriate range of subjects, usually including Mathematics and English Language. How to apply for: • School or College course • Use the online application process for centres in CAP. • For centres outside the CAP, approach the centre directly. • Apprenticeship • Search and apply for Apprenticeships online using www.apprenticeships.org.uk • Contact colleges and training providers that offer apprenticeships. • You can apply for some apprenticeships programmes using the CAP application process. • Approach employers to see if they offer or would be willing to offer an Apprenticeship. • Use all four of these to improve your chances.
