  1. Jesse Shaffer Simple Kid, Simple Dreams

  2. Hometown I was born and raised in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, located conveniently about 30 miles from campus. It’s not really much to see, but the environment was welcoming enough to have a decent life and education growing up. Tyrone is a town known almost solely for it’s football team, which won the Pennsylvania AA state championship in 1999, and has numerous undefeated regular seasons since that time. Everything, and I mean nearly EVERYTHING in that town has something to do with football.

  3. Education I had the traditional high school education. I had the laid back classes, grumpy teachers, and insane friends. Ever since the tenth grade I had my focus towards Aerospace, but sadly my school could not do much for me, as we offered no AP Physics or math higher than Calculus 1, which I completed my junior year. The guidance staff and my gifted enrichment teachers, however, helped me learn as much as I could about Aerospace prior to my entry to PSU as they could.

  4. Major I’m really hoping to gain entry into the Penn State Aerospace program to become a professionally trained Aerospace Engineer. Throughout my childhood, while everyone else wanted to go up into space as astronauts, I wanted to build the shuttles they would fly in. A strong mind for math and a knack for science furthered my interest in Aerospace, and upon finally researching what the job entails, and what I would be working on, I was sold on majoring in Aerospace.

  5. Future Goals My future goals are that of most PSU student. Get good grades, gain entry into your selected major, graduate and get a job. Although I would like a wife and children someday, I think it’s better top take my parents’ advice and make a living for myself first.

  6. Hobbies I don’t even know where to start. I have countless hobbies, but I’ll narrow them down to three: Doing ridiculous stuff with friends, video gaming, and baseball. Out of all of these, my favorite at this point in time has to be gaming. Call of Duty, Battlefield, Madden, you name it, I’ve probably played it.
